    Question Hudson to Fishtails+++

    Looking at the sat shots today and yesterday, incredible break on the 100fa line in the Hudson out to the Fishtails and beyond. Has anyone, or is anyone planning to go try that out of NJ, NY, or New England???? If that was anywhere near Maryland, Virginia, or Delaware we would give it a shot, $4+ fuel or not. Cold side is 53*, warm side 73* +...WOW!

    Curtis, I would bet money that there are a lot of sharks in that water. I would love to give it a shot if I could. Hopefully someone will and have success. Is your boat still wintering down in NC or is she back up in OC now? Won't be long now before we can run man!

    Check out report on Noreast and Bass barn-really too early to tell. One boat had a white and no tuna.

    Kevin:

    I am headed down Thursday to NC to bring her up on Friday. We'll see what that water does. Maybe it heads our way. Sounds like the water has some stuff in it, but it needs to get a lot closer for me.

    Curtis,

    I just pulled up OSS, looks fishy! If it were closer I would try it. It reminds me of last October when it was blowing the first two weeks and there was a nice break like that in the Baltimore full of YFT's.

    Good luck with the boat, have a safe trip.

    Hudson to the Dip and in the deep

    we left the dock around 1am and pulld into the 100sq around 5am. Looked around and all the water was blended and no real, it went from 54 to 73 degrees over a few miles. We ran about 25 SE and got into some 75 degree water. It was 6-8 in the hudson and 8-10 in the deep. We quickly went 3 for 3 on mahi 15-20 pounds. Spent a few more hours in the area with nothing more then a lot of birds and flying fish. We decided to run to the dip and see if we could find a decent break. When we got into the dip and up on the flats the wind died down and the seas settled to 4-6. we found a break of 54-73 NW of the dip in about 400 ft of water. had 4 more mahi 13-15 pounds but that was it. Picked them up around 8pm and headed in. Only saw one boat all day and he was running North. mahi took anything from bars, bally to jets. no squid in their stomachs just tiny bait fish and baby butters.

    Curtis Looks like there should be some fish up there but we made a trip last week to 1200fathoms between the Washington and Norfolk. Break went from 54 to 69 with little life and no color change. Caught nothing but blue sharks and had a great white 7 or 800 lbs. to the boat that wouldn't eatanything. long ride 90nm. Anyway that water up there looks better than what we were in but I was surprised there wasn't more life there. Should be @ least some makos in it. saw a few dolphin caught but be surprised if theres not more there.. Hopefully it will come our way to get a shot at it. Good luck bringing the boat up.. Cool You are an animal...

    Nice work getting out there Terry. If anyone is going to find the fish it is you. I agree, there has to be more out there in both the north and the south eddy. Just saw a post on another sight that said that someone may have found a couple of blue ones up in the northern eddy. That makes sense to me. Anyway, its hard to find them when only a few boats are searching. Good on you anyway for getting out there. See you soon.

    Canyon Runner advertising 11 YFT and 2 BFT caught recently....Hudson Canyon mentioned. Not sure if the fish were caught up there or not. There's also a guy holding Blue Marlin release flag.

    Any other reports of life up there?
