It wasn't an epic trip by any means but we caught fish which for a trip to the hudson this fall seems to be an accomplishment. It was a great trip for me scoring my first sword and tile. I cannot believe how hard that little sword pulled, had it up to the top in minutes but once it saw the boat it took every bit of line I had gotten back and then some. It ran for over a minute, just straight down and I had the drag pushed up almost to full. fun but tough fight....

The tiles were something I can say I've done, but reeling 400 feet just plain sucks... I'll do it again but not without a button to push for retrieve or record size fish under the boat...

It was a solid 28 hours offshore, and every minute was a blast! Wish there was something worth chasing so we could do it again soon!
if at first you dont succeed (which you did) dust yourself off and try again

damnit ted whens the next trip.. would settle with a little bass trip!! lol

nice job

We were there also released a tiny sword on the west wall around 10 p.m. made a move over to the 100 square and picked up a better swor on a diamond jig. Hey giant where do you keep your boay pedersens or wagners. And brian good to see you can take some time from your travels and get in on some fishing instead of taking pictures all day

Nice work fishy, we did about the same thing, we did a short drift into the deep off the west wall and then went to the warmer water in the 100. It was definitely fun to get back in the pit, and the sword was a very cool bonus. I was freelining a sardine and never thought for a second if was a broadbill until it came boatside the first time.

I keep the boat at Browns Point but I give Pedersons all my money for fuel

Sword on a jig. I didn't know that would work. Pretty cool. Nice job fishy

100 square was a busy place Sat night, lots of swords.

Where do you keep your boat?

Chadwick Island

We keep it down there for the summer but the rest of the year it's up at Lockwoods. I'll probably bring it up one day this week, looks like the bass are starting to show up.
