WOW... thats a lot of rods....

I have heard about this way of fishing but have never seen it done.

Keith, can you give us a brief description on how it's done?

Does anybody fish like this up north? If not.... why not????

Even had to stitch 2 photos together to get everything. I know everyone does this in the northern bay but not down here. Would love to hear some more about it.

The "red boat" in deale, Loosen Up, fished 42 rods last year. We fished 32 on the Tenacious. Were a little lucky with how our boats are designed, but 20 for a CC is good amount. Alot of people give the charter fleets alot of flac on the bay for how we fish, but its kind of a tradition these days and it keeps it interesting. Our fishing parties love it and more importantly it works.

We fish 10 rods off each board and 12 boat rods. All umbrellas with a few single baits fished tight. Pino has some good video of how we do it.

The first thing you need are a set of good planer boards:

You put these out on 700# test planer lines attached to the T-Top or some structure up high on your boat. I typically run 125' long planer lines.

    More to come later.
