    Guess I'm old school,

Thanks Capt. Joe, that's the way we used to do it hooking for kings. We used fatbacks mostly though.I never understood the ballyhoo craze when the old, cheap, strip bait worked so well. From one old fart to another, Good Job. By the way the "lanterns" I got last month look great, Thanks. Frank, SeaPower

    Might add one more thing,

We used to get 4 baits per fish, or try to depending on the size bait we caught (again we used mostly fatbacks). We would fillet them like you showed then cut them right down the middle, giving you 2 baits per side. It is very important(from my experience) to have a "tail piece" on the end of every bait, just a little finger so to speak. If I didn't get a piece of the tail on the strip, that piece would go in the cut bait bucket. May not sound like much, but when that fast swimming predator catches up to check out your bait, it better have a tail!! If these baits are timmed right they catch great and are way cheaper than the Hoo's. I think the fresh cut scent really helped when the Kings weren't hitting hard.Frank, SeaPower
