max lifetime span for white's ranges around 7 years.
they are my fav light tackle spezies,

they get born with up to 10lbs of weight
and can reach well over 100 years of age.
anything between those 2 dates,
same like with the white's,
depends on their diet, how good or bad their feeding aso is.

yeap, the guys are joking here on the thread,
don't take it personel,
they are the best source for serious good info on anything fishing.
like i wrote ya in the 1st post, they gain a lot of weight during their first year, a 60lbs white is sure 3 years old, but their gaining of weight like on all other spezies of course depends on the availability of food in their way.
hard to tell how old exactly is a adult fish without taking it appart in a laboratory, and such we try not to do, just have the fun, cut him loose and catch 'em again an other day.
the only exception are those stu millionaire's tournaments 'cause money just preserves money.
