HOOLIGAN !! DOES OVER 400 NM IN ONE DAY!

Departed Cape May, NJ @ 4:30 am arrived in Morehead @8pm. We ran the outside only between Rudee inlet, VA and Oregon inlet, NC the rest was inside running the intercoastal waterway.

I can honestly say that the 32 Jarrett Bay is one hell of vessel. Have not sat down and officially calculated it but I am certain that it was over 400nm that she ran in mostly a North East cornering following sea. She definetly jumped her share of waves, but all in all she averaged over 36 knots for almost the whole trip. Thanks Jarrett bay for such a fine well built machine. I will post the exact mileage as soon as I get the chance to plot the course we took.

We are now officially ready for charter as both the 32 and the 43 are waiting to bloody their cockpits!!!!

We ran that trip(morehead to cape may) a couple weeks ago but ran outside between OI and CM.. It was right around 300nm that way.

I have no idea how long it is on the inside.. there were a ton of bridges i didn't want to deal with.

Long day.. Nice work on getting there in one piece at those speeds!!

I want to say from OC, MD to MHC, running on the outside from OC and then ducking in at OI and coming in on the inside is 285 nautical miles. (when calculating your mileage, I believe the ICW is listed in statute not nautical miles on the chart, so bear that in mind, especially when calculating fuel burn on the new rig)

If the conditions are right I make it in a little over 10 hours, all depends on OI, and how much trouble I have finding my way to Old House channel.

Glad you had a good trip on the new boat. Those 32 JB's are sharp looking rigs. Roger Mooney has had them at the OCTT the past few years.

Do you really mean that you went "ICW" up the Delaware, through the C&D Canal, and down the Chesapeake Bay, then outside around Cape Henry to Rudee Inlet? That might make your trip 400nm....

If you came outside down the DeMarVa coast to Rudee, then continued outside to OI, then inside to MHC, it's very close to 300nm.

Still a nice trip in a great boat..
