    Hook and Hook-Set

    Having some trouble with the hook-set. Been using a 9.0 Owners cutting point. I set my drags very loose but not loose enough to birdnest the tiagras and reel until I know the slack is out then try to give a good tug, not a Roland Martin set but a nice tug to try to bury the hook. My hook up ratio is not good. Looking for some pointers in this area.

    Cutting point...are just that

    U may wanna change hooks to a non-"cutting" style....swords have (for the most part) soft mouths and a cutting point may be tearing or doing just that...cutting it's way right out.....a tuna style j hook or a circle hook may be your best bet. What type of bait are u using...live or dead {or artificial (maybe)?}

Lauderdale...A1A....southbound, can't miss 'em. Tell 'em Allen sent u....don't let the red carpet hit u!
