Hook and Hook-Set
Having some trouble with the hook-set. Been using a 9.0 Owners cutting point. I set my drags very loose but not loose enough to birdnest the tiagras and reel until I know the slack is out then try to give a good tug, not a Roland Martin set but a nice tug to try to bury the hook. My hook up ratio is not good. Looking for some pointers in this area.

Sit down Shut up And fish
Cutting point...are just that
U may wanna change hooks to a non-"cutting" style....swords have (for the most part) soft mouths and a cutting point may be tearing or doing just that...cutting it's way right out.....a tuna style j hook or a circle hook may be your best bet. What type of bait are u using...live or dead {or artificial (maybe)?}
Fess
p.s. where are u outa....if u want the best advice....take a trip on Capt. Andy's boat for under 100.00 u can get some priceless info especialy if you a$k the right que$tion$ to the right guy....know what I mean...Capt andy has a swordfish post above in catch reports or something like dat....priceless....u know the rest...they're out of Ft. Lauderdale...A1A....southbound, can't miss 'em. Tell 'em Allen sent u....don't let the red carpet hit u!
