call Kevin Knox at Angler's Envy..he takes care of that end of things. I set him up with Winthrop Tool. That would be his decision. We just sell our "Game On" Winstar rods he builds custom for our customers. Using only the best components in the world..

Just a sidenote... We did REAL GOOD on the Canyon Machine Green Machine Spreader last week out of OI... Got 2 REAL NICE YFTs... around 50-60#... At one point we got jumped and 3 rods went down, only 2 of us on the boat....
We were also using the Canyon Gear Green Machine stinger with the black stripes as a chase bait on the back of a mini bar, and it got murdered..... Fish was on for a good 5 minutes before it came off..... Brought the lure in and DUH...... Someone forgot to take the hook protector off the point... Not saying who that someone was....But Those are some damn sharp hooks cause the fish was still hooked through the protector on, just not solidly... Bonehead mistake that cost us a nice fish...
But those bars were raising some fish... We did better than most that day...
Brian..
thanks for the report, glad the bars and Canyon Machines are working for ya.. green and black works.. good on ya'.
Done it myself with hook protector..especially those crystal clear little guys.
First lines out, one guy usually checks the following, drags, line on the guides correctly (seen that movie where a guide was missed or miss strung), at deployment check snaps and hooks for sharpness..etc. 3 or 4 guys in a pit deploying gear mistakes do happen a little caution and communication saves a few fish from being lost to Mr. Murphy's.
Tough with just two guys to keep it all perfectly humming.
Sorry i missed you yesterday. Had a good meeting with XXXX I hope we didn't overwhelm you with all the picky stuff. Questions call me - 203 401 9989 anytime is fine.
A couple of changes tho:
1. I want to change the name to: 'plunger'...the other 'marlin machine' named plunger..change to Marlin Machine 'Fat Plunger'.
2. The lures i picked out for the stingers for the spreader bars, i was going to have you use glitter...scratch that...that just use the chrome tape to cover the 'entire' core, so a full wrap around the core and the lead..
3. We also discussed putting a chrome hook on the black part of the eye. See attachments. The first picture is the ballyhoo eye blown up..as you look at it..if it were placed on a lure just like that the lure nose would be to the left and butt to the right.
The hook image should go in the dark pupil just a it is pictured for placement.
I know this all sounds way to complex for a lure...but in a discussion...last night about lures with my fishing partners...several brought up the notion that lures have not changed in years...this eye will bring a new look to the market and set these lures apart from all the rest...so it is important...the hook in the pupil no biggie if it is too complicated to do, based on the size it will actually be..
enough for now..call with questions..sorry to be a pain..but i want this right.
