Sounds like a good idea to me. I'm just curious what they planeed to do with it. My guess is they stole it thinking they could sell it for drugs then spent the rest of the day trying to figure out who to sell it to.

You can order it here - http://uscomposites.com/polyesters.html

They also sell silicone RTV rubber - you can make a mold and repeat your lures...

I cut mine out carefully with a razor blade. It has a few nicks in it and that will come out when I sand it out and polish it. I usually sand with 3M 1500 grit or finer and it will come out clear as a bell.

I called HPD and they sent an officer over. I talked with him and told him what happened. He went over to the guys house but no one answered (go figure). He said that if they find anything that charges will be filed but it will only be petty theft. Hopefully they will find something.

So when you sand it, it still stays clear?

    What do you "polish" with?

I use 3M plastic polish. As you can see in the pic of the lure, I left the end of the end of the tubing there so I can put it in a drill and sand it and polish it evenly, which is key, at various speeds.

Sorry forget to get to part of your question. When you sand it it will look white and it makes you nervous that the polish will bring it back to clear, but don't worry. The polish is a little gritty itself and will make it look good. I have made lures that have come out good enough that sanding isn't needed and just polished it and that was ok. This lure is going to need to be sanded so I can get a skirt on it and to take away the scratches that happened when I was cutting the mold away.
