Looking for a new home, TF shut down atleast for a while. My guess is half my friends are allready here. I guess it's about time to see if a stubborn old dog can learn some new tricks. For those who don't know me, My name is Bill, I am a private boat who fishes most fishable weekends out of OI.

I have a great bunch of people I fish with who I've met through the years, most have been members of TF + their friends. I hope to meet more trough this site. I allways make a post good or bad & incl the #s,temps,color & current. I see a lot of charters are on here & I know that giving up lots of detials are not allways well liked but since I'm private & have nothing to loose, I will continue. Anything less is not a FISHING REPORT. This is why I've waited so long to join here, I didn't want to piss any commercial intrestes off.

I have, & continue to pay my dues out there. It's taken a long time & alot of early mornings (before the fleet) with fish allready located to gain a little acceptance in the OI fleet so if my willingness to share is a problem then contact me tru P-M & I will go back where I came from. I hope this works out & My joining this site will help a few people as well as gain us some new friends/connections. See ya out here.

Hey Bill! Kind of scary how much I depended on TF to keep in touch with my friends.... guess I should have had a back-up plan. Good to hear from you!

When's the next offshore jaunt? I'll be in Hatteras/Morehead/OI all next week looking for a break in the wind. Hope to see you out there!

I've always enjoyed and learned alot from your OI reports and posts on TDF, and look forward to seeing the same around here. I don't think there is any chance you will piss off any charter interests on this board----it seems the confidence among captains and comradere between all is a big factor in this site's success.
As with all sites, there is some bitching and moaning (ussually about the holier than thou don't kill this or that vs. those that see no problem with harvest), but the real difference is that members tend to respect each others opinions more over here and realize there is no right way to fish or that other opinions have merit as well.
There is a much wider (geographical) and experienced crowd on this site-- so hope to see you around alot.

I hope the members of tf do come on here and contribute but to be honest I doubt tf is dead. I think it may take a while to straighten it out but I would be shocked if he doesn't get it back up - unless of course he doesn't want it back up. He took a couple of big pr hits in the past couple of months that really hurt.

Bill, one big difference you will find here is noone bitches and moans when someone promotes themselves or their business as long as they have something to add to the quality of the sight.

Also missing is the incessant sniping and inuendo between the various organisations and user groups.

When Brandon gets squared away I'm sure everyone joins me in inviting you to stick around.
