Holden Beach, NC King Mackerel 5-20

Today, we headed to the sharkhole on a 3/4 day charter to try and find some king mackerel. Within 5 minutes of slowing down, we were hooked up. Put a nice one around 15 lbs. in the box, and a couple of minutes later, we were hooked up again. A twin of the first one. This continued on for the next hour and 45 minutes, and would have probably continued for longer, but we had our 9 fish limit, all 12-15 lbs. We headed back in to the beach to try and catch a shark, but they did't want to cooperate. We'll be back king fishing in the morning. I let everyone know how we do. Also, my customers are supposed to send me pics. I'll post them as soon as I get them.

Jay, there has been bait at the lighthouse and tide gauge. Big pretty baits from what I've heard.
