Holden Beach Grouper 2-25

We finally had some nice weather today, so I decided to try to find some kingfish. Started at 100 ft, but no dice. We worked our way out to the break, and nothing on the troll but false albacore and aj's, so we decided to go to the bottom to finish out the day. Found a couple of nice grouper, one gag in the 25-28 lb. range, and 2 reds, one puddin' head app. 18 lbs, and one about 12 lbs. If we had started grouper fishing earlier, I have no doubt that we could have limited out. We also caught and released 2 nice sharks. One bull app. 10 ft., and one hammerhead about 8 ft. On the way home, in 150 ft. of water, we saw 35-40 porpoises balling bait, and saw a 45-50 lb. yellow fin jump. It's only a matter of time before the trolling bite fire's off. I can't wait!!!! I left the camera on the boat, so I will post pics tommorow.
