J.W. tackle/speed advice is spot on....

My 5 line HS spread is set at 100', 150', 200', 250' and 350'(shotgun)...All lines are run off the tip....If your lines are marked properly, you can turn on a dime and never get tangled...

After initial strike....We gun the boat for a short distance and slowly bring the throttles down to a constant pace...Boat is always in gear....Reeling is done out of the rod holders....Keeping max pressure w/ boat and strong cranking angler is key...Lose that pressure and Wahoo can shake them hooks.

High speed trolling can be very productive.....Simply stated.....You cover more grounds and you trigger their feeding instinct at high speeds...The tournament results have opened lots of eyes in the fishing community.

If you have the proper tackle, 22 kts should not be a problem...I have several Capts. who travel/troll from point A to B @ 20-25 kts...They are picking up fish in areas they never thought held fish.

Wahoo King and Johnny Walker/Melton thanks for all your advice. Being new at this I need all the advise I can get. It was exciting just to get the bite. Trying a new way of fishing and getting that first bite increased my confidence and I can't wait to get out there to try it again!
