I need some information of Williamson maxi hole jet. Which fish is it for? If some one used this lure please give me some of your impression. Thanks a lot.
That right there is actually a knock off of a component of another lure that was designed years ago. The original design had that ball head fit in a socketed selection of other heads. It was shear genius by a Mr. Ted Horn, one of the finest metal head lure men in the world. That bait you show was going to be marketed with six balls skirted in different colors with six different head shape options to go over it. We never got the marketing and logistics off the ground.
There were a lot of the ball head assemblies laying around and they made their way out into the market where quite by accident they were found to be very good bait by itself for yellowfin tuna, long fin albacore, and sailfish in the Cape region of South Africa...
I finally found an American who knows the Horns. Great people, great metal-workers. I agree with Deep C in all that he says. Decent, nice people too.
The sad thing is so much of their un-named stuff gets knocked off by the opposition - been there, done that.
I'm guessing you know Dave too, Paul ?
KEMAL - there are other, better made lures that will ensure you a better catch return than the one you show. Not just my lures - there are others too. That thing you show there will have little action, big bulk for the hook-up, and will lose air real quick with those large holes. You're paying dollars for machine time there, not designer idea. There's a company in AU who makes the Orb lure - the same round head, and from what I hear it isn't anything significantly wonderful.
Hunt around, you can do better if you want a jet-head, though why you would want your head to lose all its air quickly is beyond me. Ever try a cupped face with no holes ? Holds the air looooonger (if that's what you want of course ! )

Hello Roddy!
How have you been??? Son of a gun its good to see you here... Now we have the cream of the cream of the crop!
Yes David and I go back quite a while... Then of course you and I share Tinks Milner as life long friends too! Those three I consider to be the worlds premier artists of the lure trade. I was involved with them for years and may well be again if we can work out some logistics.
They were instrumental in large part for my production when I branched out of Murray Brothers and have been a central part of my life since then...
And you? are you well? The last I heard, you were in Tahiti or Bora Bora... I see you have made it to the land of the All Blacks and Kiwis...
