HELP with transport of 43' Post

I recall a post from last year regarding transportation to Costa Rica, but can't seem to find it. Does anyone have info on a few companies they used before...and if they would use them again?

    Thanks

    dockwise is great, but

i recommend to contact Banana Bay marina

ask for bruce or scott, they handle the off load in golfito the first stop

there is another company also but cnat remember their name but our boat arrived perfect and with bruce helping out it was a pleasure.

I used dockwise to Golfito last year. It went OK. Not the best service. If you contact Bruce at Banana Bay Marina. (Google it) There is a new company that he is dealing with that is better. If you need a Capt. to take the boat of let me know. We have a American. capt. that can do it for you there. If you have a gringo boat a gringo must take it off. thums76@hotmail.com

from the insurance side... You will only have coverage on your yacht policy until the boat is in the hauler's controle, once loaded up you need a cargo policy to insure the value. The hauler can help or you can get it on your own. Once delivered to the destination make certain you have coverage on your personal policy for the navigation area you intend to be in! sounds simple but to often underwriters / agents fail to know the trip agenda and vessels outside of the navigation area are with out coverage! Also, ask if you need anything in writing, Storm plan, Yacht managment agreement, these things can get trown into the language of your policy and if you do not have it and a loss occures, the company may try to decline coverage! Good Luck!
Remember... if you call " Ask for Randy"
