Actually you just need to find some that is slightly larger than the mono and not heat it. When it is put in a bend then through the eye of the hook and crimp is closed it ain't going anywhere.

Do not put heat to mono or fluoro

Gang I spent my life in the plastics industry and specialized in extrusion.

Heat shrink is what you want over cable stiffy stiff rigs. One size for the cable and another to pass over the hook eye.

Never and I mean never put the heat to mono or fluoro. You can't control the process, temperature or heat history. The only thing you can hope to accomplish is to degrade the mono or fluoro with heat.

If you want a semi stiff rig use tape.

If you need to put a tube over something then just slide it on and crimp it in place.
