Heading to Miami for the weekend

The wife and I and another couple are doing a spur of the moment trip to Miami tomorrow for a long weekend. Plan on fishing Sunday with Dean Panos of Double D charters on his 31 SeeVee. Other than that, can anyone recommend any must sees? I'm staying a little north of Miami in Hollywood beach and plan on hitting Capt Harry's. Anything else fishing related that I shouldn't not check out while there?

I'd definitely stumble down to Miami beach marina after dark as there is a TON of very large tarpon and snook that hang out there. Bring a bag of dead shrimp and find a boat with it's underwater lights on and start the feeding frenzy. We were there for a few weeks on our boat and had a lot of fun when the security guards weren't looking!

For night club action it's hard to beat Liv, Nobu has the best sushi in town, and Prime 12 steak house is a must visit for some of the best food in miami.

    Sigh....i LOVE Miami!!!

Go to Monty's at Miami Beach Marina for happy hour. The place is loaded with tail and you can talk with bouncer smith, et al., as they come in from fishing-between 4:30 and 5:00. Some pretty cool boats to check out too...Owl's Nest (72 Merrit), Ovation (massive something) etc.

    Oh...and

Just FYI Capt. Harry's Moved to a new location off of I-95..which is closer to Hollywood, FL and really freaking nice..

Dean is a hell of a fisherman, decent guy and if he is still running out of Keystone Point Marina...a really great Marina...

Finally, if you make it down to Miami Beach, near South beach shoot me a PM and we can grab a coffee and meet.

    Safe Travels.
