HEADING DOWN UNDER, CALLIING ON ANY AUSSIES!

I am heading to Brisbane december 19th through the 3rd of January to visit some of my wife's family. I know there are a few guys on here from Australia that have b-mailed me in the past offering to let me fish with them. If you are still out there i would love to hear from you. I would love to get out for some fishing! What type of fishing is going on that time of year. We will be mainly in the brisbane/gold cost area and maybe a little north, but not going to make it up to Cairnes this trip. I don't mind taking a couple days to drive and travel to go fishing either! If there are any Aussies on here that may have a space open for me or if anybody knows of any charter outfits in that area i would appreciate any info. I would prefer to do a private trip with three or four guys or a charter similar to the east coast here with 6 or less people. Most of the charters i have seen online have been open style boats with 8-12 people. As i love being there for the family thing, I also don't want to miss out on doing some fishing traveling. Too good of an opportunity to miss out on.

Porkhunter, If my travels lead me south i will definately look you up. Unfortunately, we will most likely be up north due to an ill family member, which is the primary focus of the trip. It is still a few months away, so who knows? Thanks for the offer! Casey

thanks for the offer, Maybe on the next trip over there we will get to visit the s. aus coast. Its a big county and i need to see more of it! too bad i am on the other side of the world. Those are some pretty neat looking fish and i bet they pull!!!

Got an e-mail and a call a while back form a guy from the gold cost that is going to be in Mckay and is visiting Virginia soon, but lost your e-mail and number because i was out of town. try giving me a shout again if you are still stateside and i'll try to get up with you when you are in norfolk if that time has not passed. still may be able to make it up to Mckay if the invite is still open.
