Hatteras Yellowfin
Six of us are planning a trip to Hatteras to fish for yellowfin in the Spring. I have been reading previous years reports and it appears late March and April is typically prime time. Is this the general consensus. Also what about rockfish inshore. Is there an opportunity to fish for them inshore in March or are they usually heading north by by then.

Sit down Shut up And fish
You're right on with the Yellowfins, sometimes can get going good a little earlier that that also, say early to mid-march. In April though the yellowfins are still biting strong and some other species start to make a good showing as well, like dolphin and the bills.
Stripers, I'm not 100% sure but I think the ocean fish are gone by then but there is a year round bite around the Mann's Harbor bridge and some other places inshore.
I can't wait til March!!
