    Hatteras Report #2

Well, we're ending our 2nd week here in Hatteras Village with a report with no pictures. We've caught a load of dolphin, bailers and a bunch of gaffers. On top of the white marlin my son caught last week (see report #1), we got several more chances at the pointy-nosed critters over the past 4 days but nothing got stuck. Had a great time here but need to start getting ready for the run north. The fleet here is great, there have been a number of slams and near slams this week and I would recommend that anyone that wants to catch a bill and learn something about the process to charter a boat out of Hatteras.

Oh well, the weather today looks like a good day to clean up the boat and we'll see what tomorrow holds. Will be throwing dock lines early Saturday for the run to Wachapreague.

Brad, It was more than a couple of trips - between last week and this week, I've been offshore 8 times. Now that makes for a great vacation! I instituted the gaffers only rule earlier this week because we were reaching our limit on what we wanted to bring home. God I love this place!

We saw a total of 6 in our spread including the one we released and about 5 more greyhounding behind other boats going in reverse.

Ah, the office - can't wait for next week...
