Hatteras Offshore Report 4/23-4/26

Really good, consistant spring time action off Hatteras right now, and believe it or not, we had really pretty weather the last 4 days. Infact it is pretty today too, wishin I was out there, but no charter today.

Thursday just a few of us fished and it was a little bumpy to start with, we hit the tunas early and often catching 18 nice yellowfins, threw one undersized back, several more bites, dolphins too. great action, It seems like lately, one maybe two boats out of the fleet will hit them really good, Thursday was our turn!



Friday our expectations were high, but the tunas hid, from everybody, lots of coverage and lots of lookin, a couple boats had a mini wham in the blind but we did not get very lucky, had a couple bites and did some jiggin for the jacks, caught several released most, really pretty day though.



Saturday, lots of coverage again, and another pretty day, we took a left and went up the beach to some bottom I really like to fish, scrapped out a decent day on the yellowfins, blackfins and dolphins, two blackfin citations 22 and 33 pounds! Really pretty day, especially for April!



Sunday, a little better weather and fishing, we had alot of bites, but did not connect on several and lost a couple due to just plain bad luck, had a late inning ralley and caught a yellowfin, two blackfins and a 50 pound wahoo in one whack! the mixed grill wham!



Man it kills me to be sittin at the dock in this pretty weather, get you crew together and give me a shout, we are open tommorow and Wednesday this week, several open weekdays over the next couple of weeks, two Sundays in May the 17th, and 31st still open. May is really good fishin in Hatteras, some of the best in my opinion, good for everything tuna, dolphin, Wahoos, bluemarlins, May!

Make Ups: I have had several inquiries of singles, pairs and threes, but not been able to put a make up together yet, let me know and we will get you in the mix!

I was down there fishing a bit to the north of you on friday and I dont know where they go on them days when they go away, but its like they completely leave the ocean. I'll be down on the rocks fishing for snapper this evening on my mates boat then tuna fishing at sunup.
