I have not seen the video but I presume they are discussing the Piping Plover. We have them here in New Jersey on Long Beach Island and the Feds close that area to humans all summer. No beach buggies, no nothing.
Now if you step back and look at these birds, they are stupid enough to nest on the ground. New Jersey and Long Beach Island each have a sizeable population of Red Fox. Red Fox like to eat birds. Red Fox are fast. Piping Plovers can't fly for part of the summer after they molt. Red Fox should be eating the eggs and the birds.
One might wonder how there are any Piping Plovers left simply due to Foxes.

Here is what happened here to a park with endangered Red Cockaded Woodpecker. There was a park that had these birds and they originally shut it down and let it revert back to its natural state. Eventually all the birds left and the site became a inactive site and they reopened the park. Well the birds came back to this site and thrived. Once again the park was closed. The birds shortly left again. They Biologist regrettably attributed the reason for the birds leaving was due to the predators returning when the park was closed. And when the park was reopened and is still open today the predators vacated the area and the birds are thriving again.........Does it take a rocket scientist to figure this out??

Actually a lot of them are not stupid, just different in their goals and interests. Most are liberals who live off government payrolls or some other form of entitlement, tax-deductible charity, or trust income where they don't actually have to work or make a profit to survive. Many don't want there to be any hunting or fishing as they think it's cruel and inhumane. And many see humans as scum who ruin mother nature with noise, pollutants, buildings, roads, etc.
They are part of the liberal Democratic core who helped elect/select most of the current members of the Legislative Branch (Congress), the Executive Branch (White House and Fed Gov agencies like NPS, NMFS, etc.), and the Judicial Branch (judges like T. Boyle who is trying to help Audubon, DOW, and others close down Hatteras Island and other NPS areas to human presence, especially fishing).

Our country was built on the hard work of private businesses and their employees, and sportsmen have been a big part of making this a great country through support and protection of our natural resources. Our foundation lies also in the morals and ethics of a peace, love, and productivity-based religion or lifestyle. In God We Trust. Now they are trying to take away our sportsmen rights, our religion, our language, our productivity, our economy, our retirement savings, more of our income through higher taxes, etc. They want more and they want us business owners and workers to pay for it without any recourse or say in the matter. As Pelosi said, you'll see what's in the Health Bill after we pass it...
In addition to stopping this Piping Plover, Pelosi and Reid type of madness, we need to greatly cut the size, scope, and power of our government and its entitlement programs back down to the bare minimum necessary to protect our freedom, safety, and Constitutional rights. Our government needs to be run like a profitable business and be as efficient as possible, instead of being a special-interest money pit where every year each branch and agency spends as much as it can so it can get more the following year. I worked for Fed Gov for 15 years and every end-of-fiscal-year it was a race to spend what we had left so we could justify our additional 3 to 5% budget the following year. It's the biggest racket in our country and the liberals have figured out how to feed off it to support their causes.
VOTE REPUBLICAN OR THE MOST CONSERVATIVE CANDIDATE YOU CAN IN NOVEMBER.
EMAIL, WRITE, AND CALL YOUR ELECTED REPS AT ALL LEVELS TO TELL THEM YOU WANT TO CUT THE FED GOV BUDGET, TAXES, AND CONTROL AS MUCH AS POSSIBLE EVERY YEAR UNTIL WE HAVE ZERO DEBT AND A BALANCED BUDGET, FOLLOWED BY PROFITABILITY AND INVESTMENT, LIKE ANY GOOD BUSINESS DOES. NO MORE LIBERAL, ENTITLEMENT-ORIENTED CRAP. GET YOUR ASSES TO WORK AND DO A GREAT JOB AT WHATEVER YOU DO. THAT'S WHAT MADE AMERICA AND THAT'S WHAT'S GOING TO RESOTRE IT. OUR GOVERNMENT AND THE LIBERALS WILL NOT GET US THERE NO MATTER HOW MUCH MONOPOLY MONEY THEY PRINT AND GIVE AWAY TO THOSE WHO HAVE NOT EARNED IT. F___KERS.
