    Hatteras Blue Fin

Blue Fin fishing is getting better and better out of Hatteras and OI. Fish are all up and down the line, hungry and mean. We spent landed a nice 110# blue fin yesterday for our kill fish, Sushi in February, dont' get no better....Bob

Nice we were out there as well. Kept one at 170lbs released one the same size and lost one of a double. We caught ours at the 390 60 fathoms. Glad to see you were in them as well...Mark

looked a little sporty out there......just the way I like it !! Also looks like you guys were running all blue/white islanders?? Yes or was there some other stuff mixed into the spread? A friend of mine and I are heading down soon to get on the action! Thanks for sharing, nice fish!

Sorry Bob, I thought you and Offshore's post were the same trip coverage, did not mean to over look that!! Looks like you guys both had great days! How many NM out of the inlet are these fish being caught?

I am guessing bob was pretty close to where we were. We were 36nm from the inlet when we released our second fish. It was a little sporty but fishable...Mark

Damn right nice work. We got in on the fun too. That was an awesome day of fishing my friends. Feel pretty lucky to live so close to such an amazing fishery. Everybody that I saw was on em yesterday. The Jig was hot!

The fish are about 35 - 40 miles out of both OI and Hatteras...300 - 400 line 50 - 100 fathoms depending on where the break is. We caught ours on the Planer using a Pink/WHite Islander with a horse hoo....it's on down there....hope they stick around like they did last year....Bob
