Hatteras 7/30

Boy what a difference a day makes! After fishing yesterday and watching the blue water shove in all day and form a nice break at the end of the day...it was a totally different picture today! Not much grass yesterday, but enough to hold some bailers. The grass was kind off of the change, but it still worked out for us and a few others. Wahoo bites and catches have picked up noticeably in the past few days. A couple of boats have had 4,5 and even 6 wahoos lately. Wahoo bites have ranged from 60 fathoms on down to 15 or so fathoms. Still plenty of billfish around. Several are caught each day, and many more are seen. Charter trips are pretty scrappy, so the coverage out there isn't what it could be. A private boat went 2 for 10 yesterday around the 950 on sails in between 2 and 3 in the afternoon. He was the only one for several miles fishing. Who knows what would of happened if there were a few boats in the vacinity to give him some help! Sounds like good fishing way on down the beach so August could be interesting!!!

Keep the reports coming. Getting info from Hatteras is almost impossible without picking up the phone sometimes. I appreciate it.

Thanks for the report I'm planning to get down in August watching the weather and keeping my self open from any stupid things like parties down the beach, [WITH THE WIFES FRIENDS] glad she doesn't know about this site!!!!!!!!!!
