    Hatteras 5/11

    left hatteras harbor around six fishing on a 42ft custom carolina express, Wired Up. Crossed over a nice change that went from 58 to 79 fast. In the morning the weeds were scattered and the change had a lot of boats on it. We decided to push off and look for another line. Never found what we wanted but picked away at 7 really nice gaffers including a 30lber or so. Made it back to the change late and hooked a tuna and a large gaffer at the same time. Had some cockpit malfunctions and the mahi swam free. Got charlie though and felt fortunate to have that. the water was 79 degrees and the tunas were hard to come by. Fun day out there and a 45 minute boat ride home. thats not even long enough to nap.
