Gulf coast long range trips

Hello, all

Last year I found a guy out of mobile,AL(I believe) that took up to ten anglers out for tuna at a reasonable price. Unfortunately I lost his information. Was wondering if any of you know of any long range trips that run out of the gulf, like they do over on the West coast? Any info would be appreciated. Thank you for your time. Pez Gallo

There a many great boats/captains specializing in overnight tuna trips along the gulf coast from Grande Isle, LA and all the way back along the coast East to Orange Beach, AL. Depending on which port you leave from, a tuna trip is generally an 18hr trip, with 9 hours of total run time and 9 hrs of total fish time on the boats that fish 10 or more anglers. Send me a pm with when you would plan on coming down and what part of the Gulf Coast you are traveling to and i can give you some good reccomendations. If you are coming for fishing with the guys, and nothing else, then Grande Isle or Fouchron (fishing green canyon or east over to Venice) are consistent year round and in my opinion one of the better fisheries on the planet this time of year. The Sea Spray, (captain Bill Staff/mate Stephen Leadbetter) whose home port is Orange Beach AL fish out of Fouchron from Nov-Apr. and just killed an 1158# Mako this week. (link below)

Current catches over there are 10+ wahoo a day up to 85#, Tunas up to 200# all the bottom fish you could imagine and shots at blues. The Orange Beach fishery is excellent as wll from late spring to november and there are beuatiful beaches and plenty to do when not fishing.
