Guacamole rigs, how do you roll?
Out of Stuart they are rigging the Guatamala rigs with a 2 foot 50# leader and have a small snap swivel to a top shot. At home I just tied a hook to a 80# wind on. How do you roll?

In Costa Rica/Guatemala, 80-pound wind-on ends in a snap swivel. This clips into a two-foot section of 50-pound test leader, EL2004 circle hook on one end and a small loop in the other formed by either a tiny crimp or a loop knot. Add ballyhoo and roll with it...

Bert - I tie the hook directly to the 80lb wind-on. works fine for me. I have seen many different variations of this bait over the last year including what sam just described. I see very little difference in the preformance or hook up ratio in most all of them. I think it is just a matter of preference

in Mexico/cape may we used a 60 or 80lb wind on and a six foot 50 or 80lb leader with a 6/0 or7/o owner. we fished the swivel rig with a 20 or 30lb bill fisher swivel. i love how they swim
