its a good question bro.. greenies are ballyhoo that are caught in florida during the winter months.. they are much hardier than your regular ballyhoo and they hold up a lot better.. they also have a better color and they are just downright awesome to use as bait..

i try to order a few cases of them so i have them throughout the year because the shelf life on a greenie is about 2x that of a regular season ballyhoo..

regulars will only hold up for maybe 6 months tops!! greenies will hold true and solid in a vacuum seal for about a year!! which makes them a much better choice for the average person who does get out that much but wants a much hardier bait!!

Interesting, had no idea. What makes them so much better? Are they bigger, more food down in Fl, less stress? Are they usually more expensive?

not really more expensive by any means.. the colder water temps and i am guessing some other things that i dont know about to much but they make them just hardier.. i will do some research and let you know.. hang on one second!!
