Thumbs up Great Day at the Glory Hole...

Ran Cammy's Dad today out of Atlantic Highlands. Hit monsterledge only to find bluefish on the troll. About 3 miles short of the Glory Hole the water cleaned up and climbed from 64-69 degrees. Bang Bang! The cedar jigs were first to go and we soon found a nice wad of 30" bluefins. Ok so they weren't giants but they beat the bluefish we had been dealing with.
After a few of those we slid right ove the hole and began a shark drift. On the sout wall we had something bumping our baits. Finally the critter ate well enough to bow up on and turned ut to be a 125 class mako. We had a couple more bumps before the drift completely stopped in th calm. We put her back on the troll long enough to pick another bluefin bite or two and one last cover up of bluefish... Great day!

sounds like a great trip, had a similar trip myself about a week ago, not including the mako , picked up most of the bluefin trolling a weed line in between mud and glory, tried to get out there again saturday but it was pretty sloppy, hope they stick around!
