    Grander from Cape Verde

    Hi guys,
maybe someone of you can remember the victory-fish of Berno Niebuhr during the marlin-worldcup 2006. It was a grander blue from the Cape Verde Islands.

Well, now another one could caught one there. Heiko Steinmetz caughta grander blue marlin.

Last week, the big game angler Heiko Steinmetz weighed a 1012 lbs blue marlin in Cape Verde Islands fishing on his private boat. Heiko fished a great season and released again over 100 atlantic blue marlin in 2009, best day 12 blues out of 27 strikes. His grander is the biggest marlin caught in the last 3 years in Cape Verde.

Interesting is the lure. My friend Stephan Kreupl (the holder of the IGFA world record in Blue Marlin) constructed a new lure with the name "BWF Grander 1238".
Well, what a good prelude :-)

Some more informations and pictures you will find here. (Please delete the link when the link is not allowed)

    Here is one picture too.

    Best wishes,
    Uwe
