RI Good Tuna Report NE of the Tails

Had a great day on the water. The weather cooperated and so did the fish. All the fish came from the same area 14530/43448, 14542/43413. Water temp 75+. Ended up with 6 yft up to 60lbs, 1 lft, bunch of mahi, 160lb mako(taken on a zuker), and a white marlin that shook the hook after we got a good look at him and a cut off from a wahoo. Had a few knockdowns that covered up 6 rods but there was only two of us (couldnt find anyone else that wanted to go, Boy oh Boy they missed a good one). It would have been nice to have another person on board. I am sure we would have landed a few more. We fished both sides the the temp break and the fish were in the warm water.

    REPORTS,REPOTS,REPORTS

    Hi All:
I was wondering when I would start to hear some reports from that area.
That area ususally start around the end of July.
GOOD ON YEAH MATE !. I'm glad you put your position in.
The commercial guys have been in that area so now, it's our turn. Glad you posted that info.
Have you tried the Feathered Tuna Clones in the 3rd wake? The color hte Comm. guys have been using was Zuccinni with pink feathers inside on it.

Nice catch. Those numbers are pretty far from the tails, over hundred clicks on the top and bottom lines. I think you were just to the northwest of Atlantis.

Maybe 20 miles to the Tails. Still closer than Atlantis, best guess. What are your numbers for Atlantis? From memory I am thinking 350/325??

    Great work,

Sounds like the run was plenty worth it.....

Looks to be about 70 NM run for me.....LOL.

Sunday looks promising, if there's ever a day to make a run like that in my rig.

    Another one bites the dust!

    Tope,

What a great day! Great boat, two guys, multiples, tuna, dorado, a wahoo bite off (dang!), a Whitey shake off and a troll mako (more proof of the puddin')!

That's going to be a tough one to top!
