Sorry too but we had to get that fish to a certified scale before they closed right after we hit the dock.

The fello you met was the boat owner, Don... Great guy and a heart of gold. He loans us his boat to do these things out of the goodness of his heart. Generous to a fault. Charlie, my boss is that way too and between the two that warmth really expresses it self and sets the stage for the most delightful crew a guy could ask for.
Charlie was insistant on building a TEAM and these guys represent that idel to a tee. There is no me, I, you, etc. Its we or us. The boss asks a question. I lay out options and not until every last man is on the same page do we move forward with a plan. I suggest not demand. I ask not tell.
It showed well the prep and working together when we bowed up a couple fish. That pit was cleared of ten lines and four teasers in under a minute without all the yelling and confusion I see on other boats. On and off the crew on that trip has been working together now for a year and its starting to mesh... I don't have to throw nearly as many egg sinkers at my mate to get his attention as I used to...
