Took the girls out on the Hammer Time on Sunday. Owner Nick Bortle, his son Mark, Capt Mike Pfaeffle, His wife Suzy, his sister Margaret, me and my wife Sharon. We started at the Marine Electric where we bailed mahi a week ago and it was like the dead sea, nuthin was there. Decided to run out to 50 fathoms on the 000's and troll. We raised one white and watched the Osprey catch two. Decided to troll south toward the rockpile and found a dead sea turtle. There were more fish under it than I have seen in a long while. We stopped and started bailing, ended up with some up to 15 pounds, grand total of 41!
I couldn't figure out how to put text between the pictures! The first pic is me gaffing Margarets first fish. The 2nd is of a Mahi cutting throught the water behind the boat. The next one is Margaret holding her first Mahi. Then Suzy with her first ever Mahi. Sharon got tired of catching fish and let me catch a few, she put the gloves on and started wireing, I was impressed!!!
It was Suzie's and Margaret's first day fishing in the ocean and I think they are hooked![]()
