    Giants off Southport

Just got of the phone with a reliable source that multiple boats killed multiple fish out of Southport today, to the point boats were waiting in line to offload fish. Some left at lunch and were done by mid afternoon with two. Anyone else hear what happened down there today?

There were 11 or 12 fish killed today, with the best bite happening at 9:00. We killed an 81" that bit at 9:00, and a
74" that bit at 11:00. There were 2 other boats with 2 fish, Wally on the Fish Whistle, and a Triton bay boat that I'm not familiar with.

three boats got two fish and about 3 or 4 more were also killed out of about 25 boats.... the bite went off around 9:00 this morning a little sw of the knuckle bouy on frying pan sholes. Also heard rumors of big schools of fish seen of topsail by some bottom fisherman that had quite a loss in tackle today. seems with the bite there, frying pan and at MHC today, it's a good sign a few fish have finally started showing up.

on the same subject, Congrulations to Capt Lyndon.. one of SF.com's own on his two fish down at frying pan today. i'm sure he'll give the full report with pics. as soon as he gets some rest.
