    Getting to Isla

Heading to Isla tommorrow with 5 others and I was considering reserving a van to pick us up at the airport and drop us off at the ferry and do the same on the return.

Just wondering if anyone has done this or has any opinions or recommendations?

They have many vans and taxis right at the airport. If you have a group you can get a van right at the airport and since you have a bunch of people you wouldn't have to wait for it to fill up. they also have plenty of vans at the port for the return.

Thanks for the reply. So your saying its not necessary to reserve a van ahead of time. Appreciate it.

I have not and it is very easy to get tranportation to the ferry. The cab ride is $56.00. I can't remember how much the vans were per person but it is much cheaper. It's all pretty regulated. You have to get the transportation at a booth inside the airport just before you go outside. You can't just go outside and hail a cab or van.

I've used Cancun Transfers in the past with very good results http://www.cancuntransfers.com/php/cancuntransfers.php

$60 round trip for a van that will take more than 4 people. The nice thing is that you can choose to pre-pay or pay in cash once you get there so you don't have to worry about beig scammed on the internet. After using them a couple times I would not feel uncomfortable pre-paying.

Vehicles were nice and clean and the drivers were courteous. Showed up on time at the ferry on the return trips.
