Boys the sad fact is...........its just business. Just as importing marlin into the US is business. As long as Fat Cats continue to rake in mucho George Washingtons, the rape will continue at the expense of a species existence.
IMO opinion the only way to curb the desire for MARLIN or GBT is thru educated awareness of there mass extermination being performed by individuals whos only consideration is the allmighty dollar. Not that it matters that soon they will not be able to replenish there own stocks.
And as far as Tred is concerned, the fact he didnt give credit where credit is due is simply once again a matter of business. At least the guy is bringing it to light now. Maybe to little to late? But I guess he is trying.
We are talking about Tred here.Do you think he would be sitting idol while people(editors) are changing what he wrote down on that paper? Someone else possibly but Tred not A chance!Tred would skate just as fast as he skated here when he didnt like what was being said!
Sorry Mary but I dont agree with you,but I still like you!
I never understood how much commercial pressure was on the fish here in Pacific Central America until i came here...
The fact that all of these sailfish get turned into CAT FOOD is really sad...if people were eating it that's one thing...and I understand that some of the local economies aren't the strongest and some locals pay their rent killing sailfish...
Personally I believe the shame lies in the US for letting them import pacific billfish...and any publicity that gains attention slow it helps...especially if it just becomes pet food and fertilizer!!
Just my thoughts...
