AM IN SAN CRISTOBAL AND THE BAIT AND BILLFISH IS BEST IVE SEEN IN THE LAST 5 YEARS MASSIVE SCHOOLS OF BAIT WITH STRIPES TEARING INTO THEM WEATHER IS PERFECT 85 WATER TEMP IS 79 LIGHT WIND IN ADDITION TO ALL THE BILLFISH WE ARE CRUSHING PARGO TO 60 LBS AND AMBERJACK TO 70LBS AS WELL AS YELLOWFIN TO 100 ALL ON TOPWATER POPPERS. Just had some friends sailing to Tahiti spend a few days stopover on Cristobal...they caught a nice 50+ Wahoo just outside the harbor on the way in.

HEY JW whats up hows cali treating ya ya gotta come down some time and see this for yourself like i´ve been telling you for a long time it is nuts . i will start posting some pics soon the restuarant rosita is all done up and is booming nice bar as well in the joint. the marlins are eating anything you troll espiacially soft heads in purple and white and black and blue mostly stripes up to 250 will start putting the big barts soon for mrs blue FUNNY the locals havent seen much wahoo or dorado but loads of fat yellows up to 125 and allthe other bottom dwellers they got so many different types of grouper and snapper and so many different names that i dont know what they are in english all i know is there big strong with a mouth full of teeth and taste great. regards from the land that time forgot

TODAY MARCH 4 FISHED ON THE BLUE WITH CAPT ALLAN STARR AND A GROUP FROM FINLAND WE STARTED FISHING AT 11AM STOPPED AT 330 PM TOTAL WAS 8 STRIKES WITH 3 STRIPED MARLIN LANDED BIGGEST WAS CLOSE TO 300 LB OTHERS AROUND 175 LB WE HAD A NORTH WINDF WAS LITTLE CHOPPY BUT NOT BAD SAW ABOUT 20 MARTLIN DESTROYING A BAITBALL ALSO GOT 3 YELLOWFIN TUNA BACK AT IT TOMOROW PETE SANTINI

MARCH 5 REPORT TODAY WE SAW OVER 45 TAILING STRIPED MARLIN . WE GOT 8 STRIKES AND LEADERED 3 ONE OF WHICH WAS 325 LBS A REAL FAT ******* SEAS WERE FLAT ASS CALM NO WIND AT ALL. CAPT ALLAN STARR MYSELF AND THE GROUP FROM FINLAND FISHED ON THE BLUE FISH ATE LURES AND HOO THEY WERENT VERY HUNGRY TODAY BUT STILL NOT BAD NO YELLOWFIN OR BIGEYE EITHER. THE BOYS ARE LEAVING TODAY AT NOON AND WENT OUT last minute FOR PESCA CHICA TUNA GROUPER SNAPPA OUR BOAT THE SEAHANDS IS READY FOR CHARTERS WE STILL HAVE OPENINGS IN APRIL www.sportfishgalapagos.com

Hi Pete - Do you like the Belle Vista better than the Miconia?
Does the Sea Hands have better entry than Blue? Blue slaps a lot and rides hard. Looking for a better platform to fish from next season.
