Fun Carolina Weekend Tuna and Cobias

Got the call to come down and fish with Bill Funk. Had a fun crew that consisted of Tommy Tuna, John Rogers, Bill Funk, Bert, john and me.

No pics on this day because of the rough conditions. But we caught a single and that got wammed by a quad. Had a couple others explode on the squidnation Tuna Candy bar. But couldn't come tight. After about 8 misses we reeled it in the check it to find a broken Stainless steel hook.

Ended the day with 5 40lbers and a tilefish.

Next morning we drove down the road to Hatteras to fish with Jake on the Matador. On the way out we came across a dead whale that a boat was pull off the sand bar







Worked our way down the beach and had a triple just as jake pulled back the throtles. What a way to start the day

The cobia fishing is as good as anybody can remember, maybe better, off the NC coast right now. Best area seems to be from Atlantic Beach to Hatteras. Epic, for sure.
