This shark was taken 2 weeks after the tournament. Just missed it.

I'd love to find one liike that in Jersey... I'v had a couple that class there over the years but not often enough for sure. Now down here they are a pest that come in and wreck a night of swording. We get a few each year like that. Spend hours fighting what we think is a sword then its just one of them shit eaters... Nobody down here really knows about how good eating they are. Theres no market and too much meat on one to even give away. As we're swording we're not rigged and ready to deal with em in the dark much of the time so they're usually released...

I bet that there is a couple like that off Jersey, just nobodys found them yet. I believe that they don't get that big by being dumb. The big ones are very smart.

Stew from the PEZ Machine had one earlier this year in the canyons. They faught the fish for hours got it boatside and let it go. They did not want to kill the fish with only two people in the boat and in the dark. Based on what he said they probably let go the state record mako.
