Friday, well i finally took a well deserved day off, fished with some freinds from the dock aboard there blackwatch, and two of there freinds, left cape may 3:30 am headed right for the break off the balt, wasnt long before we get hooked up, 1,2 3 on after a little clusterfu ah you know , we gaff all 3 yft these fish where about 30 lbs, troll around a bit and pick up a single, bigger fish now maybe 45 lbs, keep working the area then all hell breaks loose, 1,2,3,4,no not 5 but 6 on all at once, well with 5 people on board we get 4 anglers fighting, i decided to push the drag abit, now i never do this but we needed to free a set of hands, mind you we still have 2 rods screaming drag,so john puts the hook in the 1st one, nice 60 lb class fish, then his wife dianes fish was next, i gaff that one and put another rod in the chair for her, now for a petite woman this ladie can fight a fish, soon i gaff the third one, now i grab a rod and capt john sets to battle one , anyhow the story comes to a great ending 6 fish on, 6 fish in the box. all 6 fish between 60 and 80 lbs. shortly after we wind em all in and head for the barn with 10 yft. by the way for you cape may guys, you know it wasnt a nice ride in.
saturday ,we head out , same boat different crew break thr inlet and met with much freindlier seas, we head right back to the same spot, within 30 minutes we get double within 5 minutes of the fight another rod starts singin, hell a nice gaffer mahi, get all 3 in the boat and away we go lines out, ended up picking up 2 more single yft, then my turn to play with a nice gaffer. around 4:00 we head in with 4 yft and 2 nice mahi,
