    Fresh Shad = Big Cats and a deer

    Those Fresh Shad caught on Monday were put to use... Took a trip up the James in search of big blue cats. Started out a little slow at the first spot only landing a striper, the second spot was very productive. Totals for the day, 1 striper, 15 cats the 2 largest 42lbs 8oz and 40lbs 15 oz. and one deer. Yep, on the way back down Rt. 10, a deer steped into the road, I was able to swing around it but the deer went right into the trailer. There was no damage to the boat or trailer, not sure about the deer.

    Awesome catch!! Glad to hear you weren't hurt, I hit one a few years back and it almost came through the windshield. Ended up ok for me, but not the car and the deer.
