Fred Archer / Spreader Bar Catalog AWESOME!

Let me tell you all something that may just change the way you fish, or the tools you fish with, FOREVER!

I've known Fred Archer via that internet for a few years now. You could say that we had a rocky start, but have become quite good friends. Mr. Fred's health has been up & down along the way...but as you would expect...he keeps in good spirits. We all have an oportunity to learn from one of the world's VERY best names in fishing...CAPTAIN FRED ARCHER...gleen what you can, boys!

Anyway...a day or so ago I shot Mr. Fred an email about his spreader bar catalog. He quickly sent me a .pdf copy of not only his 2007 SUPERBAR CATALOG, but also his uncomplete 2007 version of THE ARCHER CATALOG...which contains all of his lures.

I have only been able to scan (reading a little along the way) both of these publications since yesterday...but let me give you my first impression......

    ........WOW !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

This is SO much more than a catalog containing spreader bars and prices. You don't just get bar length, lure selection, lure size, lure color, and prices. This thing reads like a BOOK! If you have ever read any of Mr. Fred's books (I believe I own most of them), you know what kind of great detail he goes into. His SuperBar Catalog (and the Archer Catalog as well) is no different. The fishing and rigging tips & techniques you get are amazing. Most lure catalogs you can look at, see what interests you, look at current prices and put it down in about a half hour (if it's one of the better publications...if not, you may be done with it in five minutes or so). If you get Mr. Fred's SuperBar Catalog, be prepaired for an experience that might take you a couple hours to complete! This is like reading a book...and you can actually buy the things in that book you're reading about!

I can't say enough about what I'm seeing and reading. The SuperBar concept is awesome. I fished some a few years back as a friend of mine got hold of a couple. I remember how great they looked in the water and how easy they were to handle vs. the metal bars we were used to.

OH! Did I mention the UpRiggers you've heard Mr. Fred talk about are avialable in the SuperBar catalog as well? Well they are...and I believe they are ONLY available through that publication.

Thank you Mr. Fred for sending me this information about your SuperBars. I encourage anyone who pulls conventional spreaders, or those who want to pull some bars, to contact Fred Archer and get a copy of the 2007 SuperBar catalog!

Opps! One more thing I just thought about that I also saw. DREDGES! Not your typical metal dredges...but dredges made of the same composite material the SuperBars are constructed of...not only that...but...these dredges are RIGGED! Yep. You know how many fish you raise on the dredge. Imagine having a hook down there...AND...imagine having a dredge small & light enough to actually fight the fish on! Amazing idea!

    Anyway...can you tell I'm exited?!?

    Ya'll have fun!

    Jay
