Thought I would post this for all to see. It works as an estimate on most fish.
length x girth squared divided by 800 = approximate weight
example....new N.C. blackfin tuna state record
length....38 inches
girth......29 inches
38 x 841=31958 divided by 800 = 39.9475
The new state record weighed 40 pounds even. Pretty damn close.
