Set the spot net with my buddy Gillikin and pulled in about 70 or so early Wednesday morning. Fished the Banks Channel area and landed numerous flounder from small to just legal size on the outgoing tide...moved to the Masonboro jetty and more flounder. A close-by boat landed a couple nice-size specks on mullet next to the "wall" in the short time we were there. Moved off to a nearby creek and proceeded to pound the flounder...I was outdone by sweetheart and her 3 year old son!!!: Bait of choice was a pink Gitzem jig with Berkley Natural 3" shrimp.
Is this the "Gitzem Jig" you used? (know the colors are different)
I have a few packs of 3" Berkley Gulp! shrimp (I think I don't have any of natural). I only used gulp! shrimp on surf fishing rigs, haven't caught anything on them yet... I need to try a different way to fish my gulp! shrimps.
I've caught my biggest fish so far (catfish) on a gulp! bloodworm so "In Gulp! I Trust"
