    FLORIDA SAILFISH TOURNAMENTS

I am planning on possibly fishing one next dec/jan next year with and l & h and captain jimmy is going to email me a list of tourneys they would fish and i am wondering before i get the list if anyone could point me in the right direction of a good sail tourney..

i am looking for a moderate entry and some good calcuttas where we could have fun, maybe win something, and put some cash in the pocket if the fish gods are nice to us!!

any and all info from the floridian crews or anyone down that way would be awesome.

    thanks in advance

    18 lb.Brown on fly: 6x tippet, 106 lb.Atl.Sail: Ft.Laud, 888 lb. Mako Cozumel, 950+ Blues St.T
J.David himself may be the best one to talk to....although, his family may be fishing in some of the best one(s)....there are so many down that way now-a-days (miami) it can be hard to keep up.
The billfish challenge in feb is a one dayer from 4 inlets....miami, ft.Laud.,pompano and Palm Bch.
So often these are won by top-notch teams that fish a lot together....and they can be a very competative to say the very least. Jimmy fished with us back in 1999....ask him if his one on one basketball skills have improved at all...

I would fish the ones north of Palm Beach where they are trolling tournaments.

The keys ones are fun... Good fishing to be had at Miami but a crap-py town... The ones we have here in Palm Beach are too late in the season to have consistent action. Can be good or can be a crap shoot...

Those guys in Ft. Pierce revolutionized sailfish trolling...it is very effective I have witnessed the demolition first hand...Live ballyhoo in the riggers is fun too though...
