    Florida/Bahamas grander ?

    I'm hearing reports of a blue with a 20" tail lying on the swim-platform of the Reel Estate, currently en route westwards from the Bahamas.

    More later no doubt by someone who will see it landed and weighed. Caught in the middle of nowhere, apparently.

    All this is third-hand info, so none of it may be true, but I think there's some substance to this one..................

    Picture becoming clearer now. The Reel Estate left Bermuda yesterday, heading south to the Bahamas. Estimated arrival at Marsh Harbour is tomorrow. The blue is lashed to the swim platform. The boat recently hauled a 771 lb fish aboard apparently, and this beast blows the other fish away in size.

    That's all. More tomorrow I guess. Hope the big fish dreamers aren't disappointed. Pretty sure the fish will not go to waste on the islands, which is a good thing !

    Last year the Que Mas left Bermuda headed to Florida and 50 miles out caught a grander. Went back to Bermuda to weight her. Maybe history repeats itself...
    Big blue marlin fishing is outstanding in Bermuda now.

    spoke to scotty via sat phone he said it was a hell of a fight and the fish died. last I spoke to him he was 290 nm from Whale. If they won't let him weigh it in Treasure he'll weigh it in Fort Pierce. He said length was 129 inches 20 inch tail and couldn't get girth weight. I fished on the Reel Estate for a few years and she is a fish raiser for sure!!
