His reputation is why I booked him, i've got 5 guys from work going with me 2 of whom have never been offshore and one who has only been once. I went on the Smoker a couple years ago and he spent the whole time yelling at the mate, kinda turned me off him even though he catches a ton of fish. Will try to do a quick report of OI sunday but I'll put a full one up when i get back after memorial day.
really slow day, kept 1 bluefin and 1 yellowfin. Rest of the fleet didn't do a whole lot better except the guys who got into bigeyes.
Of to Ocean Isle for a week, looks like I'll be kept inshore for most of the week so i get to work on one of my weaknesses.....fishing in the backwaters.
Give the Cobia a shot, buddy of mine decked three yesterday off Holden Beach. All over 30Lbs with one a 50lber. Sight fishin on the beach, casting live bait to them.
