    Fishing In Ft Lauderdale

    Hey guys,

Trying to set up my brothers bachelor party and wanted to surprise him with a trip to Ft. Lauderdale for some fishing. Iam thinking it will be late July or August of 2010. Id like to do offshore fishing/kite fishing for sails, dolphin, blackfin etc. or maybe bottom fishing/jigging for snapper, grouper, amberjack. I m looking for some Florida guys to help me out on whats biting that time of year and what type of prices im looking at for a group of six guys for a charter or if you could recommmend a good charter. It also doesnt necessarily have to be FT. Lauderdale to fish, id be open to any other hot locations for some good fishing in Florida.
    Thanks for the help guys

    hey guys thanks.

I asked Joe to jump on here tonight when he gets in. He can add more, but I'd think Dolphin and Swords would be the best bets in the Summer. Daytime and Nighttime Swordfishing should be good and the Dolphin should be around too.

Bottom fishing? always DRY TORTUGAS for the serious bottom trip. Got that one covered too....

Let's see what Joe has to say about Lauderdale in July and if I can help with anything including the Keys, just let me know.

    Thumbs up

    Hey Mike,

Sorry for the late reply I was out swordfishing all night long last night. Anyhow, In Late July Your definetly going to want to do a Dolphin/Swordfish trip. The reef is pretty quite that time of yr, other than kingfish. July and August can be really good for swordfishing just a few days before the full moon. If you want you can give me a call and we can talk about it a bit more.

On another note, the swordfishing has been great. We have been getting them during the day and at night. Yesterday and last night we caught 4 fish releasing all of them, including a 200lb fish.

So come on down here guys and get in on the bite!
