Drove down Baja last summer and had a blast, good fishing and great food. Lee and I are trying to put a trip down to La Paz in 2012, maybe visit Fisherman's Fleet, but will tow a boat also. Glad to see you posting Fred.

I got back from PV a few days ago, I found out the Polica don't let any reports of a rip off go unoticed, they came out in full force because a cabby ripped off an American tourist, otherwise the place was very safe even at night and very friendly. I wanted to try and temp the Crocs in the Marina with a stray fat cat. People were very enteraining, we paid off an old guy that was singing to us with a plate of Pompano that we caught the day before, all the restaurants were more than willing to cook your catch! The Fishing down there was ok, the Pagna was a piece of schit, I still suprised the boat held together through the 2' chop. We fished up near the Elephant rock, never did catch a rooster but did get a cero and lots of grouper, snapper, and a few pomps. These guides didn't have any electronics just a radio and compass, no good fishing tackle, I let them keep what I brought and didn't loose to the reefs. There needs to be a tackle shop down there! The day I went out fishing, Mahi, tuna, sails, and Marlin were another 3 hours out, then the day before I flew home all those fish were spotted near the Elephant!
