How is the fishing in Aruba? Any charter reccomendations? My Cousin is going on his honeymoon and I want him to avoid going on a "Boat ride".

That's the one I took with my wife when we were down there before we got married. There is a pretty good wahoo bite off the island, and that's what we got into. Only landed two fish, but the second was 45-50 pound class. Other than cappy keeping us in a freakin beam sea all morning, it was worth it for a half day charter. They leave out of one of the marinas downtown.
Hope that helps, I'll try to scare of some pics of the fish.
Thanks. What time of year were you there? Do they have any kind of Marlin fishery?
yes, they should have good marlin and billfish ingeneral fishing....season should be the same as Puerto Rico....may-sept or oct.....july and august getting the hottest bites
The difference between men and boys....Is the price of their toys....
I fished on a little boat called Melina (29 Criscraft t/d). $300 for a half day and we were never more than 10 miles from the beach. The captain was a good guy and we caught a couple wahoo, a king and a small yft. Times were flexible and the boat is on the beach in front of the hotels (Playa Linda I think). This guys sells his fish to keep the price down but he gave us one of the wahoo (I gave him a nive tip in return). We fished the lee side of the island so the boat was fine. If you venture to the other side, I think you would want a bigger boat (tradewinds)! Don't know about the billfish bite, I just wanted to get some pullage on our trip. Tell your cousin to rent a Jeep (wrangler) and explore the island for a day. There are some great things to see off the beaten path...
